I missed the equaliser, as I was checking out the gents toilets.
Our toilets should be better than the likes of Oxford.
Full toilet report tomorrow. They were ****ing minging!!! Dirty, dated and full off graffiti.
Ours look 5* compared to them (even without toilet seats).

Winnable game next week as well. Although a certain Mr T Eaves will no doubt be fired up for the game, having netted a hat-trick today😱 Gillingham will have to get the ball first. After that they will have to try to get the ball to him before we even get to him having a shot. Teams finding the first two parts really hard against us so far this season.

Just watched Morris lob on the Football League show over and over in slow-mo and it was deffo in. Such a shame it wasn't a couple of inches lower. Freeze-framed it and the initial contact as it landed was clearly over the line. It was a goal. So unlucky that whatever backspin must have been on the ball it up and out. Even had it landed on the line, the angle of trajectory should have then taken it into the back of the net. I presume technology isn't there for League One games, and at real time it would have been tough for the officials. But the penalty shouldn't have been tough for them! Disappointing because it would seem that we did actually win the game. But hugely encouraged by the quality of our play. Keep this up and we really have to be a force in this League. On the line = no goal

We were terrific, wave after wave of patient attacking play. Superb away performance that deserved much more than just the point.
If I had one criticism it's that we were again reluctant to shoot in good areas, opting for another pass and overplaying instead but it's picky and we certainly had the chances in stoppage time to win it.
Very encouraging. Can't wait for next Saturday already!

I had a little chuckle about the article in the matchday programme by their captain telling the supporters their fitness would win them games at the end of 90 minutes. Well at 90 minutes they looked about ****ed to me. They were desperately hanging on to their ill-gained point. Hence their keeper slowing the game with a goal kick that yonks.

Was worried we would come crashing back to earth in this game, but we were damn good. Always closing down (except for 10 minutes in the second half where we seem to have run out of steam) and playing the ball around exceptionally well. Easy to get carried away, but we are looking top half on that performance - I do not believe the possession stats at all - we were well in control.

Yep that seems like a decent summary. They probably are a slightly bigger club than us - although what relevance having once been in the top flight should have on their budget today I'm not quite sure. Slightly misleading use of the accounts, too, to suggest we're £25m better off than them and so it's great they could even compete - I'm £12m richer than their club by that metric so should smash them in a game of 11 a side.

Downloaded highlights from youTube; played back in SMPlayer frame at a time, and the ball is well over the line. I've done a still capture... but can't see a way to load it into a post.
The football gods were against us.
And as for the referee's explanation to Whalley... that it was a foul... but "unintentional". So is the ref a mind reader? Ask any defender and they will say it was unintentional. And anyway, what has changed. There has to be intent with handball, but surely if you make a foul challenge on a player before playing the ball, it's a foul, whatever the intent. You may try and play the ball, you may just be late, you may just be clumsy... but if you foul the player it's a foul. I think the ref is mixing the intent aspect with handball. Surely that hasn't changed has it? Does the ref now have to study body language, psychology, the history of a player's previous challenges, mind reading.
Foul a player inside the box.. it's a penalty. Or am I missing something. I know we now have "groups" and "second balls".. and all of the other new football jargon; I know the current offside rules makes the Law of Thermodynamics look simple.... but is a nailed on penalty no longer a nailed on penalty?

How did Ben godfrey do ? Didn't go today and wasn't able to listen on the wireless. The lad is huge!!! looks like a defender playing in midfield but sat in front of the defence well enabling Ogogo and Nolan to push forward more.
We got in to some great positions but looked a lot more threatening when we went two up front. Our wingers lack the ability to put consistent decent balls into the box so only having one target and two defenders makes it difficult for us.
what's you're opinion on Payne do you think he's should be starting games seems that he's got us 3 points and draw now since signing, I no his goals weren't goal of the month but I'd like to see what he does first half of a game ?

Watching it live I didn't think it crossed the line. Having watched that a number of times I'm not so sure now, it looks in.

Shout out to the Oxford fans and the rest of the league. Don't doubt us - we are the ****ing real deal. Best team in my 15 years supporting Salop. Sit up and take notice and so 9 months on from that barmy Bank Holiday weekend in August so it proved to be. What an absolutely phenomenal season and an absolute pleasure to be part of. I've had the most memorable days as a football fan in the last few months; days which will stay with me forever. Unfortunately all good things come to an end, and regardless of how we do next season, this is a chapter of our history where the last words will be written in the coming days. With a win the story could have continued, albeit minus a couple of faces, but it was not to be. We weren't quite ready for the Championship this time round but we now know far more about what is required to gain promotion than we ever thought we'd know back in July. Since November 2016 we've been a top 10 League One club, that's 80 games, many with the dross left over from the Mellon era. The next few days will run their course with inevitably some disappointing news. But next season is a new season; a season where Shrewsbury Town FC are firmly back on the footballing map - a club to be respected and to be proud of! Floreat Salopia!
